Another Way to Clear Your Head

Saturday, January 20th, 2007

There are many ways to “shake out the cobwebs” and get a new perspective.

At one of my prior jobs it would sometimes become so intense during the Board meetings that when I left I would put the top down on my convertible and drive home the 40-60 miles like that – even when it was overcast!  I’d just simply turn up my heater, and even though it was foggy, the air rushing past my ears just helped to get rid of the pressure and stuffiness of the people I was dealing with.

Another great way to clear your head is to go someplace totally different. This could be for a day, for a week, or in my case, for 5 weeks!

Next Sunday we fly out for a week in Australia and then 4 more in New Zealand.  My husband’s brother and family live in New Zealand, the native land of our sister-in-law.

I am very much looking forward to having a wonderful experience and coming back with a totally new perspective.  I’ve told my husband that I think this will change everything.

By that I mean we will be away from our normal routine for 5 weeks.  We will specifically NOT be working (although I will check the internet every few days). We will be doing some very fun things – like snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef, visiting a rainforest, black water rafting through glow worm caves, visiting glaciers, taking an overnight cruise in Milford Sound, taking a silver metal clay class, and a bone carving class from a Maori, and all the time in between, just being together and enjoying the country!

It’s an opportunity to revisit what’s important to us – the first time we’ve really had a chance to do that since we first got together 15 years ago.

So, it won’t change who I am or what my values are, but it certainly will shake up the priorities I’ve developed in the past 2 years working for the organization that currently employs me.  And having what I consider to be a relatively significant time totally away (on the other side of the world) will certainly give me room and time to consider where I want to go from here and where I want to be in the next 2-3 years!

For a slightly different perspective that focuses more on the synchronicity of doing what you love, read my post at my gratitude blog, ER=100x

Get What You Want By “Clearing” Your Mind

Sunday, January 14th, 2007

As you may know, I’ve been a fan of Joe Vitale’s for a long time. I think he provides very good information in general, and excellent information on what he calls “Spiritual Marketing”.

In his article below, he describes A “Crazy” New Way to Increase Sales — from Zero. Interestingly, it’s a very effective method for getting anything you want – from sales to relationships, to peace of mind.  I use a variation of it often.  I find it helps to create peace so that drama and other emotions are not cluttering what you are doing at the moment.  That’s a good thing, because how you feel is so very important to your success, regardless of the content.

Here is the article by Dr. Joe Vitale  www.mrfire.com

In my new book, “Zero Limits,” I talk about the unusual therapist who helped heal an entire hospital ward of mentally ill criminals — without seeing any of them.

I’ve since learned his method for healing, which involves “cleaning” yourself of all negativity in order to see change in others.

It seems bizarre, but when you take care of your own issues, they disappear in other people.

The whole idea is to love the problems away. You do it by saying “I love you,” and a few other statements, non-stop. I’ve been doing it for two years now and my life is astonishing. I live in an almost moment-by-moment state of bliss.

Once I learned this method, I started to use it on other things besides illness. Since I’m a practical metaphysician and an entrepreneur, I wanted to see if this wild method would work on sales and other bottom line results.

Whenever I would write an article — much like this one — I would send love into it.

Whenever I would write another book — like my new one, “Zero Limits” — I would keep saying “I love you” in my mind.

What I noticed is my emails and articles would get read and distributed to *millions* of people.

And my book, “Zero Limits,” became an Amazon bestseller — six months *before* it was published.

But I didn’t stop there in my testing.

Because I want to be sure this method works for others and not just me, I taught it to my close friends.

Bill Hibbler, coauthor with me of the book “Meet and Grow Rich,” was skeptical. But he borrowed a pre-publication copy of my book, “Zero Limits,” read it, and started loving his products and his list of  subscribers. Here’s what he said:

“Sales for Jan 1-4 were 41.39% higher than Dec 1-4. During the four day period in January, I didn’t mail my list or launch any new promotion during that time. All I did was clean while reading your book and throughout the day.”

Bill went on to tell me he saw sales increase from sites like http://create-ultimate-ebooks.com/ — which he wasn’t promoting *at all*.

How is this possible?

How can “cleaning” yourself with a mantra like “I love you” make a difference in your sales?

It appears that there is nothing “out there.” The entire world is a projection of what you feel inside.

So, if you feel love, you will attract love. Because love contains gratitude, you attract more things to be grateful for. This is the essence of my book, “The Attractor Factor,” and of course  of the movie, “The Secret.”

You get what you feel.

That’s it.

At heart I think you (I) just want love. Well, so does everyone else. When you say “I love you” inside yourself, you cleanse yourself and you radiate an energy that others feel.

The result: more sales.

Still skeptical?

Look at it this way:

Even if this whole method seems totally crazy to you, what harm can come from you saying “I love you” in your mind as you make calls, write emails, deliver pitches, and go about your day?

If nothing else, you’ll have better feeling days.

Try it and see.

By the way, “I love you”.

What are some other things you could say?  It will be different for each of you, and may be different based on the circumstances, but some I include on a regular basis are:

  • I’m sorry,
  • Forgive me,
  • Thank You,
  • I forgive you,
  • I wish you success,
  • I’m grateful for you,

Just use what seems to feel right to you.  It’s not so much a ‘structure’ as it is a way to move into feeling clean and clear so that you are not getting in your own way. When I use this method, I find a peacefulness that makes everything much easier.

As I gave up the struggle model, more and more I am giving up the blame model and accepting that since I create my own reality (my perception of what the world means), then it’s all up to me anyway, and I am ultimately responsible for even how others treat me.  So I am responsible for setting my emotions straight and moving back into feeling good, regardless of what anyone else might do to or around me.

Give it a try today….see what magic you can create for yourself and others!

Thank you, I wish you success.

The Prosperity Challenge Becomes an Even Better Value!

Sunday, January 7th, 2007

Over the holidays I thought a lot about the Prosperity Challenge and what it’s brought me – clarity, new friends, expanded consciousness, more wealth.

I decided I wanted to make it accessible to even more people, as part of my contribution to this shift in consciousness that brings satisfaction and peace.  The easiest way to do that was to set the price point where it was more of a “no brainer” decision for most people.

I remember the first time I played the Prosperity Game (which is part of the Challenge). It dramatically shifted my thoughts about what I was worth, and gave me permission to spend money in a way that was empowering to me.  Most of us don’t give ourselves permission to trust that part of ourselves that draws the resources and solutions to us – that intuitive part that places the right teacher in our path.  So even when the Universe does provide, we make excuses about not trusting our own Inner Wisdom.

When I realized how much exposure to the Laws of Attraction and the Prosperity principles shook all of my old thinking loose and enabled me to make choices truly from CHOICE, not from old patterns of financial scarcity, I decided that I wanted more people to have that experience.

So, the price to play in the Challenge now is only $39.90, and I expect to keep it there until there is a compelling reason to change it.

To our Expanding Prosperity!!

Is Your Glass Half Empty, or Half Full?

Tuesday, January 2nd, 2007

Christmas evening we had hurricane force winds that brought down trees and took our electric power away until the following Friday.  I ended up with a cold that lasted all week, so I was in bed during most of that time.  Last year the same kind of storm had power off for four days starting New Year’s Eve.  Some of last year’s downed trees are still waiting to be cut up.

The power went off again briefly on Saturday, though they’ve removed the tree that was blocking our street and things seem to be back to normal.  (I write more about this in my Gratitude Blog.)

Last Thursday we were supposed to get another heavy storm.  Instead, it was sunny and clear – truly beautiful, as only the Northern Coast can be in the middle of winter – from Wednesday through Saturday.

There are many ways we can look at challenges.  For four days we had no electricity, which usually means no water (we’re on a well), and we have no natural gas here.  We are rather used to it up here, since it happens a few times every year.  It’s still an inconvenience lugging in rainwater and wood for the stove!

However, being ill anyway, I slept most of the time, which kept me warm.  I wasn’t very hungry, so didn’t have to turn the Coleman stove on very much.  By the time I was feeling better (Thursday), it was sunny enough for me to go lay out on the chaise lounge with a down comforter over me and sit in the sun for about an hour.  And the well seemed to keep enough pressure that we could use the water sparingly in between turning our generator on for a couple of hours each evening. I guess having to replace the pressure tank last summer actually worked to our advantage!!

I recommend you think about Robert Ringer’s quote (below) next time you are faced with things going in a direction you don’t expect:

“Since every negative has an offsetting positive built into it, and vice versa, you always have a choice as to whether to focus on the abundance or the scarcity in your life. My firsthand experience has convinced me beyond all doubt that if you want more negatives in your life, all you need to do is think about the negatives that already exist.

“Likewise, if you want more positives in your life, focus on the positives that you already have. You’ll be amazed at the number of new positives that will almost magically make their way into your life as the result of focusing on the positive side of the equation.”

As this new year unfolds for you, think about what you want more of in your life.  I challenge you to decide that this is the year you focus on what you want, not on what you don’t want or don’t yet have.

As long as you’re looking at what isn’t here yet and measuring your success or happiness based on the fact you don’t yet have something, you are focusing your attention on the negativity of lack.

Instead, you can determine that you will be grateful for what you do have and the rest will be made available to you at the right and proper time – when you have stopped putting up resistance and have thus gotten out of your own way.
