“Do not listen to those who weep and complain, for their disease is contagious.”
-Og Mandino
Have you heard about “A Complaint Free World”? It’s an amazing idea proposed by Will Bowen, pastor of a church in Kansas City, Missouri. The story has been on several TV programs and newscasts, including Oprah (in fact there was an update on the show just a couple of days ago). The basis of the program is a way for you to help yourself focus on what you want rather than what you don’t want.
From Bowen: “We’ve found through our own experience that when we complain–talk about things we wish were NOT in our lives– rather than making things better, we make them worse. When we complain we are giving energy to things we wish were different and, in so doing, attracting more of what we DON’T want. So, if there are things in your life you wish were different, rather than talking about them, talk about what your life will be like when they no longer are present in your experience.” And to do this, they use a quick and easy reminder – purple bracelets.

I ordered my bracelets last week – at that time there were over 3 million bracelets sent out. Now there are over 4 million. Go look at the site and decide for yourself if this is the right time to shift your focus!! By the way, the demand is so large that they are saying it will take 4-6 weeks to fulfill your request. (See my notes below) I suspect there are many of us who would love to get away from the complainers, and to stop complaining about them ourselves! It is SO much simpler to get what you want when you focus on what you DO want!!
If you’re ready to have what you DO want, remember to check out the great little book, “Why Most Affirmations Fail”. Author Jennifer Shepard talks about not only what doesn’t work (and what you can do to make your affirmations work), but also about the Four Building Blocks of Successful Affirmations.
You only have a week left to pick up this $27 book for the greatly discounted rate of $17. When you do that and send me your receipt, I’ll send you a free bonus $7 subliminal software program that loads on your desktop. If you wait too long (April 19 or later), the book will go backup to it’s regular price of $27. Find out about the book (and be sure to order from) by going to: http://prosperitychallenge.com/affirm.html. Then, simply send your email receipt to prgm@prosperitychallenge.com to receive the subliminal software as a bonus.
To your ever expanding success,
**NOTE FROM KATIE on November 26**:
Well, Obviously the book offer is over with, but more importantly, I wanted you to know that although I ordered my bracelets in April 2007, they have never come in. I received an email last summer saying they were quite backlogged with requests, and I imagine that continues. If you, like me, are still waiting for bracelets, then you may want to contact the organization to see how close they are to sending yours. Otherwise, you may want to simply use a rubber band or a scrunchie (those hair ties) around your wrist and use the process they recommend.
Additional Note December 4: Today I received an email saying they are now charging for more than 2 bracelets, and all bracelets require postage (even the 2 free ones). If you ordered a bracelet and it never came in, they have deleted all the orders and want you to order again.
Or, simply use a rubber band – it’s a great reminder and I have used them in the past to remind myself to correct negative self-talk.
